SBI SO Recruitment Notification 2020

SBI SO is a national-level exam conducted by State Bank of India for the recruitment of probationary officers in various branches of the bank across India.  State Bank of India invites Online applications from Indian citizens for appointment to the post of Deputy Manager (Law) and others. The SBI SO Recruitment Notification 2020 was released on 23rd January 2020. The recruitment process began the day of release of official notification and it is being conducted for the selection of candidates for the post of SO in State Bank of India and its Associate branches for the various posts of Specialists Cadre Officers.

The candidates selected are liable to be posted anywhere in India. Eligible and interested candidates must register online for the recruitment process. The selection process consists of Online Exam and Interview Process which will be conducted online, followed by a Personal Interview.

SBI SO Selection Process

There are 2 stages in the exam- Online Test and Interview Process. The candidates who cleared the Written Exam are invited for the Personal Interview. The selection will be taken by the authority of the State Bank of India on the basis of their qualification and the performance given in the online test.

While going for the Personal Interview candidates have to take some documents-

The exam for the post of SCO in the different departments will be conducted every year through the State Bank of India. The exam will be conducted in Online mode only. Candidates have to mark one answer from the 4 or 5 options as the questions are there in the form of Multiple Choice Questions. There are 3 sections for the Clerical Cadre and the Senior Executive/ Special Executive, 4 sections for the post of Deputy Manager.

  • Clerical Cadre and the Senior Executive/ Special Executive: Reasoning Ability, English language, Professional Knowledge, and Quantitative Aptitude.
    • A total of 170 questions will be there in the form of MCQ.
    • 50 questions will be asked from the section Reasoning Ability and Professional Knowledge each.
    • 35 questions will be asked from the section the English Language and Quantitative Aptitude each.
    • Candidates will get the time limit of 135 Minutes (2 Hours 15 Minutes) to solve all the questions asked in the exam.
  • Deputy Manager: Reasoning Ability, English Language, and Professional Knowledge.
    • A total of 170 questions will be there in the form of MCQ.
    • 50 questions will be asked from the section the English Language and Professional Knowledge each.
    • 70 questions will be asked from the Reasoning Ability section of the exam.
    • Candidates will get the time limit of 135 Minutes (2 Hours 15 Minutes) to solve all the questions asked in the exam.

SBI SO Eligibility Criteria 2020

Candidates must fulfill certain eligibility criteria by SBI SO before applying for the SO post. Here are the basic eligibility conditions:

  • The candidates must be Indian
  • The applicants must be a graduate in any stream from a recognized university.
  • The final year graduates can also apply.
  • SC/ ST/ ExS/ J&K Migrants get a relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit.
  • PwD category candidates reserve a relaxation of 10-15 years depending on the category.
  • A declaration will have to be submitted in the prescribed format by candidates seeking reservation under the OBC category stating that he/she does not belong to the creamy layer as on 31.03.2019. OBC certificate containing the 'Non-creamy layer' clause, issued during the period 01.04.2019 to the date of the interview, should be submitted by such candidates if called for interview.

NABARD Grade A Exam Pattern

It is important that you know about the NABARD Grade A Exam Pattern properly before applying for the exam. As per the NABARD Grade A Notification, the exam consists of three phases-The the Prelims phase, the Mains Phase and the Interview Process. The Phase-1 i.e Preliminary Exam consists of objective type questions (MCQs) having a total weightage of 200 marks and the time duration of the exam is 120 minutes. The authority conducting the exam prepares a set of instructions which are mandatory and must be followed in the exam hall to avoid cancelation of the candidature.

Read below the IBPS Clerk Exam Day Instructions to be followed inside the examination hall or before going to the examination hall:

  • No individual will be allowed inside the exam hall without their respective IBPS Clerk Admit Card

What to do after IBPS SO Mains Result?

The results of the IBPS SO Mains test will be declared separately for each category. If any candidate qualifies the IBPS SO Mains exam, then they will be issued another admit card for the Interview Process. The declared result of IBPS SO examinations will not be altered in any situation until the Board found any discrepancies. The decisions in this regard by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection Board shall be taken as final. According to the category of the candidate that is General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS the cut-off scores will be displayed. IBPS Interview Process and Results

Shortlisted candidates for the interviews are completely based on the IBPS SO Mains examination marks. No IBPS SO Prelims marks are considered for the interview process. The IBPS is tentatively to schedule the interview for IBPS SO in the month of February 2020. Candidates attending the IBPS SO interview are approximately three times the total number of vacancies. The interview process of IBPS SO is conducted by participating organizations and coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each State or Union Territory candidates need to appear for the interview in specified centers in their respective states. The detail interview pattern is given in a tabulated format below:

IBPS SO Final Results Scores

The final results of IBPS SO provisional allotment is calculated on the given formula: Total Score for Final Allotment = {(Marks Obtained in Mains Exam / 100) x 80} + {( Marks Obtained in Interview / 100) x 20}. Here the IBPS SO Mains score is converted into 80 and IBPS SO Interview score is converted into 20. Suppose a candidate has scored 70 marks in mains exam out of 100, and 78 marks in the interview out of 100, final allotment score will be calculated as [(70/100)x80] + [(78/100) x 20]. The weightage is given to the IBPS SO Mains exam and the final scorecard is a combination of 80:20. The Final IBPS SO Results or Provisional Allotments will be declared in the month of April 2020.
