India to host T20 World Cup for the blind
India are to host the T20 Cricket World Cup for the Blind at nine different centres from January 31 to February 12 and Pakistan is among the competing teams.
● The opening game between hosts India and the West Indies is to be held at Delhi.
● The final is to be conducted in Bengaluru.
● The tournament, to be organised by the Cricket Association for the Blind in India, is budgeted to cost Rs 24.5 crore.
● Vengsarkar, invited the organisers to conduct all the matches in Mumbai to be hosted by the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA), of which he is the vice president.
● Asked about the presence of Pakistan, Mahantesh said that they will land in Delhi, play matches there and play their remaining matches only in Bengaluru.
● The other teams in the fray are England, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal.
● Matches would be held in Delhi, Mumbai, Faridabad, Gujarat, Kochi, Bhubaneswar, Andhra Pradesh and Bengaluru.
भारत 12 फरवरी से 31 जनवरी तक नौ विभिन्न केन्द्रों पर दृष्टिहीन खिलाड़ियों के लिए ट्वेंटी -20 क्रिकेट विश्व कप की मेजबानी करेगया। इन टीमों में पकिस्तान भी शामिल है ।
● मेजबान भारत और वेस्टइंडीज के बीच उद्घाटन मैच दिल्ली में आयोजित किया जा रहा है।
● अंतिम मैच बेंगलुरु में आयोजित किया जा रहा है।
● टूर्नामेंट भारत में दृष्टिहीनों के लिए क्रिकेट संघ द्वारा आयोजित किया जाता है, इसपर करीब 24.5 करोड़ रुपये की लागत आने का अंदाजा है.
● वेंगसरकर ने मुंबई में सभी मैचों का संचालन करने के लिए मुंबई क्रिकेट संघ (एमसीए), जिसमें वह खुद उपाध्यक्ष हैं द्वारा आयोजित किए जाने पर आयोजकों को आमंत्रित किया।
● पाकिस्तान की मौजूदगी के बारे में पूछे जाने पर महंतेश ने कहा कि वे दिल्ली में खेलेंगे, वहाँ से केवल बेंगलुरु में अपने शेष मैच खेलेंगे ।
● मैदान में अन्य टीमों में इंग्लैंड, ऑस्ट्रेलिया, न्यूजीलैंड, दक्षिण अफ्रीका, श्रीलंका, बांग्लादेश और नेपाल भी शामिल हैं।
● मैच दिल्ली, मुंबई, फरीदाबाद, गुजरात, कोच्चि, भुवनेश्वर, आंध्र प्रदेश और बेंगलुरू में आयोजित किया जाएगा।
