NASA develops electroactive bandage
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) developed a high-tech electroactive bandage.
● The bandage creates an electric charge to help promote the healing process of wounds.
● Electroactive material is so sensitive that a push or even a blow on it can create an electric charge.
● The fibres of the guaze are made of electroactive material Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF).
● The bandage is stimulated by the heat of the body and the pressure of cell growth.
● Therefore, no external power source is required in order for the bandage to promote wound healing.
● The device uses electrical activity to facilitate the wound healing process while protecting the wound.
● The bandage also minimises infection and related complications such as illness or amputation.
नासा ने एक नया मैटीरियल विकसित किया है, जो बिजली का इस्तेमाल कर घावों को ठीक करता है. मैटीरियल बहुत ही कम मात्रा में बिजली पैदा करता है. यह बिजली, संपर्क में आने वाली सतह तक पहुंचती है, फिर भले ही वह इंसानी त्वचा ही क्यों न हो.
● पॉलीविनीलिडीन फ्लोरॉयड पीवीडीएफ नाम का यह मैटीरियल चोट के आस पास ऊतकों को बड़ी तेजी से ठीक करता है.
● नासा रिसर्च सेंटर की सीनियर मैटीरियल साइंटिस्ट एमिली सियोची के मुताबिक अगर चोट वाली जगह पर पीवीडीएफ फाइबर को सही से लगाया जाए तो कोशिकाएं इसे बाड़ की तरह इस्तेमाल करने लगती हैं.
● पीवीडीएफ की परत चोट को इंफेक्शन से भी बचाती है.
● असल में चोटिल जगह के आस पास मौजूद उतकों और कोशिकाओं में जब हल्का करंट बहता है तो उन्हें सहारा मिलता है. इससे चोट जल्द ठीक होती है.
● इस मैटीरियल की "खोज बहुत आसान और सस्ती है." भविष्य में पीवीडीएफ फाइबर से किसी की आकार और मोटाई वाली बैंडेज, कवर या चटाई बनाई जा सकेगी.
