Mistakes to Avoid When Filling Out the SBI SO Law Officer Application Form 2026

A little care here prevents the pain of your application getting rejected later.

  • Applying for Both Posts: You can apply for only one post: Assistant Manager or Deputy Manager, not both.
  • Missing Bar Council Enrolment Proof: This is mandatory and non-negotiable; the application won't be processed without it.
  • Mismatched Details: Personal and educational details must match your original certificates exactly, since they're verified later.
  • Wrong Photo/Signature Specs: Off-spec files (wrong size, capital-letter signature, dark background) cause rejection.
  • Waiting for the Deadline: The 14 July 2026 cut-off includes fee payment; last-minute attempts risk server issues.
  • Assuming You Can Edit Later: No changes are allowed after final submission. Make sure to review the application thoroughly before you submit.

What Happens After You Apply?

  • Admit card / call letter: Issued before the written test; uploaded on the SBI website and intimated via SMS and email.
  • Selection: An Online Written Test (Objective 50 + Descriptive 50 = 100 marks) followed by an Interview (100 marks), with a 70:30 merit weightage. See the SBI SCO Law Officer Exam Pattern 2026
  • Document verification & NOC: Candidates in government/PSU/bank service should keep a No Objection Certificate ready for the interview stage.

Here are the key takeaways:

  • Apply online only at sbi.bank.in/web/careers/current-openings under Advt. CRPD/SCO/2026-27/02.
  • Application Window: 24 June to 14 July 2026 (fee payment included in the deadline)
  • Application Fee: Rs 750 (Gen/EWS/OBC); nil for SC/ST/PwBD

  • One Post Only: Choose Assistant Manager or Deputy Manager
  • Bar Council Enrolment proof is mandatory
  • Keep the confirmation page and e-receipt for later stages
