IPMAT Exam Pattern 2023-2024

IIM Indore and IIM Rohtak 

The admission process at IIM Indore is conducted in 3 stages namely; Aptitude test, Personal assessment, Composite score, and Final interview.

IPMAT Section-Wise Breakdown

• There will be three sections in the Aptitude Test namely Quantitative Ability (Multiple Choice Question-MCQ), Quantitative Ability (Short Answer Question-SA), and Verbal Ability (Multiple Choice Question-MCQ). 
• Each question will carry 4 marks with 1 negative mark for each wrong answer except for the Quantitative Ability (SA) Section.
• The AT will be structured as below: QA (Quantitative Aptitude) is MCQ section is conducted for 30 minutes; Short Answers again is conducted for 30 minutes; Followed by Verbal Ability for 30 minutes.

IIM Jammu and IIM Bodhgaya Admission

Admissions to these IIMs are conducted through JIPMAT 2023 and will be conducted by NTA for IIM Bodhgaya and IIM Jammu admission to 5 years IPM 2023-28 batch. 

The JIPMAT exams are to be conducted in the month of June.

• Candidates must attend the exam through CBT mode. 
• Each question carries four (04) marks. One (01) mark will be deducted for a wrong.
• Paper will be conducted for 150 minutes. 

Crucial Points Related to the Marking Scheme of IPMAT 2023

• Give the answers for both the sections in a predefined order.
• Four (4) marks will be given for each correct answer.
• No marks will be given/ deducted for any unattempted questions.
• However, there is a negative (minus) marking for the incorrect mark, but the short answer section of the quantitative ability has no negative marking.
