Correct answer is 40 . Second equation given in solution is incorrect.It should be (2d-14.9)/(d+14.9)=x/y.

if n=1, it is x + a
if n=5, it is (x+a)[(x+a)^4 - 5xa(x^2-ax+a^2) - 10xa]. It would be divisible by x+a.
