Question:
A dealer buys a wrist watch for Rs.225 and spends Rs.15 on its repairs. If he sells the same for Rs.300. Find the profit percent.
Options:
A) 10%
B) 30%
C) 25%
D) 20%
Solution:
According to question,
Cost price of watch = cost of watch + repair expenses
                             = 225+15 = 240 Rs.
& S.P of watch = 300 Rs.
then profit = S.P - C.P
                 = 300-240 = 60 Rs.
therefore,
Profit % = profit *100 / C.P
             = 60*100 / 240
             = 25 %
