QR is the chord of a circle with center o. p is a point on major arc QR as shown in figure. What is the value of ∠QPR + ∠OQR?


Options:
A) 120o
B) 60o
C) 90o
D) 180o
Solution:
Ans: (c)

Alternate solution:-
   \(\angle OGR + \angle QOR + \angle ORQ = 180\)
   \(\angle OQR = \angle ORQ\)
   And,   \(\angle QOR = 2 \angle QPR\)
SO, \(\angle OQR + \angle OQR + 2\angle QPR = 180\)
        \(2\angle OQR + 2\angle QPR = 180\)
          \(\angle QPR + \angle OQR = 90\)
