HCF and LCM (Question:45190.0)

Why pair is only (3,4) ,It may be(6,2)/(12,1)

Question:
LCM of two numbers is 120 and their H.C.F. is 10. Which of the following can be the sum of those two numbers?
Options:
A) 140
B) 80
C) 60
D) 70
Solution:

Number=10x and 10y.

LCM=10xy

10xy=120

xy=12.

Possible pair (3,4)

Sum will be= 10\(\times\)30\(+\)10\(\times\)4=70
