Question:

A and B starts a business with the investment of Rs.42000 and Rs.63000 respectively. After 4 months B withdraws from the business. At the end of a year, they get Rs.9600 as total profit. Find the share of B.

Options:
A) Rs.5600
B) Rs.2800
C) Rs.3200
D) Rs.6400
Solution:
Ans: (c)

Ratio of investment of A & B = 42000 × 12 : 63000 × 4

= 2 : 1

Thus, the share of B = \(\cfrac{1}{3}\)×9600 = Rs.3200

Dear Student,
Thats why
12*42000:4*63000
=2:1
so, 1/3*9600 is the share of B.
