See the thing is lichen is a composite organism that arises from algae or cyanobacteria (or both) living among filaments of a fungus in a symbiotic relationship. That means it is a combination of essentially either an algae and fungus or a cyanobacteria and fungus or an algae, cyanobacteria and fungus. Now cyanobacteria are a phylum of bacteria. So we cannot say that lichen is a combination of a bacteria and fungus. Hope this helps.
