The product of two consecutive even numbers is 7,568. What is 150% of the sum of the two numbers?

Let the even numbers be x and x+2

Then x*(x+2) = 7568

 x2+2x = 7568

x2 + 2x - 7568 = 0

solving quadratic equation

=> x = 86 or -88

we take positive value then x= 86

x+2 =88 => x+x+2 = 86+88 = 174

Now 150% of 174 = (150/100)*174 = 261
