A regular hexagonal pyramid has the perimeter of its base as 48m and its altitude 40m. Find its volume?

Options:
A)

    2127.5 cm2

    2116.73cm2

    2216.96 cm2

Solution:

Let ABCDEF be the regular hexagonal base having side a.

    Then, 6a = 48

        A = 8 cm

    Volume of Pyramid; v =  13   × Area of base × h

     =  13×6×34×64×40   

     = 2216.96 cm2
