Twenty per cent of Anuj’s annual salary is equal to seventy five per cent of Raj’s annual salary. Raj’s monthly salary is 60% of Ravi’s monthly salary. If Ravi’s annual salary is \(\unicode{x20B9} \)1.44 lacs, what is Anuj’s monthly salary?
Options:
A) \(\unicode{x20B9} \)2,70,000
B) \(\unicode{x20B9} \)27,000
C) \(\unicode{x20B9} \)3,24,000
D) \(\unicode{x20B9} \)5,400
Solution:
Monthly salary of Raj

\(=\cfrac{1.44 ×60}{12 ×100}=\unicode{x20B9} 0.072 \) lakh

∴ Anuj’s monthly salarly × \(\cfrac{1}{5}\)

 = Raj’s monthly salary × \(\cfrac{3}{4}\)

⇒ Anuj’s monthly salary = \(\unicode{x20B9} \left ( 0.072×\cfrac {3}{4} ×5 \right )\) lakh
= \(\unicode{x20B9} 27,000\)
