Question:
There are 30 tigers in a forest who are sitting in a queue. Pappu tiger  is sitting 5th from the front while Dabbu Tiger is 18th from behind. Pinchu Tiger is sitting in the middle of Pappu Tiger and Dabbu Tiger. What is the position of Pinchu from behind of the queue?
Options:
A) 23rd
B) 22nd
C) 5th
D) 17th
Solution:

Pappu’s position from the front is 5th and that of Dabbu from behind is 18th and total number of tigers in the queue is 30.

Therefore, the number of tigers between Pappu and Dabbu 

= 30 - 5 - 18 = 7

As Pinchu Tiger is sitting in the middle of Pappu Tiger and Dabbu Tiger, he would be positioned at the 4th, either from Pappu Tiger or Dabbu Tiger.


Therefore, Pinchu’s position from the behind of the queue = Dabbu’s position from the behind of the queue + Pinchu’s position from Dabbu.


Pinchu’s position from behind the queue = 18 + 4 = 22
