why root 3 x (Question:1096388.0)

why root 3 x multiplied both in numerator and denominator in last step .

Question:

 The area of a circle whose radius is 6 cm is trisected by two concentric circles. The radius of the smallest circle is : 

Options:
A)

 2 3   

B)

 3 3

 8 3

 6 3   

Solution:

  

O is the centre of all the three circles.

 R1 : R2 : R3  =   1    :  2    :  3   

 from question:-

3 units→6cm    

1unit→63cm   

R1=6x33x3=23   cm
