option d galat diya gaya hai

Question:
DIRECTIONS: Given question consists of a question and two statements numbered I and II given below it. You have to decide whether the data provided in the statements are sufficient to answer the question. Read both the statements and give answer:

Who among P, Q, R, S and T,  is the smallest if each having different height?

I.T is shorter only than R and S.

II.Q is not as tall as P and is shorter than R and S.

Options:
A) The data in Statement I alone are sufficient to answer the question, while the data in Statement II alone are not sufficient to answer the question.
B) The data in Statement II alone are sufficient to answer the question, while the data in Statement I alone are not sufficient to answer the question.
C) The data in Statement I alone or in Statement II alone are sufficient to answer the question.
D) The data in both the Statements I and  II are not sufficient to answer the question.
Solution:

From statement I,

(R and S)>T>(P and Q).

From statement II,

(R and S)>P>Q,

Now, combining both the statements together, we get,

(R and S)>T>P>Q.

So, Q is the smallest.

Hence, data in both the Statements I and II together are necessary to answer the question.

The data in both the Statements I and  II are not sufficient to answer the question.
