Plz solve in detail

Question:
Which is the greatest three-digit number which when divided by 3, 4, 5 and 6 leaves remainder 2 in each case?
Options:
A) 060
B) 062
C) 960
D) 962
Solution:
Ans: (d) LCM of 3, 4, 5 and 6 is 3 x 4 x 5 = 60

Greatest 3-digit number is 999

on dividing 999 by 60, remainder is 39.

\(\therefore\) 999 - 39 = 960 is exactly divisible by 60.

\(\therefore\) 960 + 2 = 962 is the number which when divided by 60 will leave 2 as remainder.
