The sum and product of two numbers are 14 and 45 respectively. The sum of their reciprocals :
Options:
A) \(\cfrac{15}{4}\)
B) \(\cfrac{4}{15}\)
C) \(\cfrac{45}{14}\)
D) \(\cfrac{14}{45}\)
Solution:
Let the numbers be a and b.

Therefore 

a+b=14 and ab=45

so, (a,b)=(5,9) or (9,5)

hence the required answer=(1/5)+(1/9)

                                      =14/45
