Percentage break-up of monthly expenses of Shyam-



The money spent by Shyam on transport has two divisions i.e., bus and bike. The cost of transporting by bus and on bike are in the ratio 11: 13. The transport expenditure for bus is approximately what percentage of his total expenditure on rent?
Options:
A) 23%
B) 24%
C) 21%
D) 28%
Solution:
Ans:(c) Expenses on transport = 12% of 24500 = 2940

Expenses on bus = 11/24 x 2940

Expenses on rent = 26% of 24500 = 6370

Required percentage = \(\cfrac{11 \times 2940}{24\times 6370}\)  x 100 = 21%(approx)
