sir solution not shown proper way in math

Question:

If a man’s age is 125% of what it was 10 years ago, but \(83\cfrac{1}{3}\)% of what it will be after 10 years. His present age is:

Options:
A) 48
B) 49
C) 51
D) 50
Solution:
Ans: (d)

Let the present age be x years

Then 125% of (x-10) = x; and

\(83\cfrac{1}{3}\%\) of (x+10) = x

\(\therefore\) 125% of (x-10) = \(83\cfrac{1}{3}\%\) of (x+10)

or \(\cfrac{5}{4}(x-10)=\cfrac{5}{6}(x+10)\)

3(x-10) = 2(x+10)

3x - 30 = 2x+ 20

\(\therefore\) x = 50 years
