Question:

If M% of x is y and N% of y is x, then:

Options:
A) M + N = 100
B) MN = 10000
C) \(\cfrac{M}{N}=100\)
D) \(\cfrac{N}{M}=100\)
Solution:
Ans: (b) M% of x = y

or \(\cfrac{M}{100}\times x = y\)

or  \(\cfrac{x}{y}=\cfrac{100}{M}\)               ...... (i)

N% of y = x

or \(\cfrac{N}{100}\times y = x\)

\(\cfrac{x}{y}= \cfrac{N}{100}\)                ......(ii)

from (i) and (ii)

\(\cfrac{100}{M}= \cfrac{N}{100}\)

MN = 10000
