why in place of * , division is used please provide vedio if possible

Question:
If 264 * 2 = 6, 870 * 3 = 11, then  735 * 5 = ?
Options:
A) 05
B) 12
C) 16
D) 03
Solution:
Ans-(b);  264 * 2 = 6,

  \(\cfrac{264}{2}=132\)

now, 1+3+2=6.

 

          870 * 3 = 11, 

 \(\cfrac{870}{3}=290\)

now, 2+9+0=11.


Similarly, 


           735 * 5 = ?

  \(\cfrac{735}{5}=147\)

Now, 1+4+7=12.
