explain the qustion

Question:

A moving body of mass 20 kg has 40 joules of kinetic energy. Find  its speed.

Options:
A)

1 m/s

B)

1.5 m/s

C)

2 m/s

D)

2.5 m/s

Solution:

Kinetic energy = \(\cfrac{1}{2}\) mv2

Given, mass m=20 kg

K.E=40 J

So, 40=\(\cfrac{1}{2}\)×20×v2

v2= 4

and v= 2m/sec

So, the velocity of body is 2 m/sec
