400% and 500% is given but solution is according to 500 and 600%

Question:
If the numerator of a fraction is increased by 400% and the denominator is increased by 500%, the resultant fraction is \(\cfrac{20}{27}\). What is the original fraction?
Options:
A) \(\cfrac{8}{9}\)
B) \(\cfrac{11}{12}\)
C) \(\cfrac{3}{4}\)
D) Cannot be determined.
Solution:

Ans:(a)

Let the original fraction be \(\frac{x}{y}\)

\(\frac{x + 400/100 \times x}{y + 500/100 \times y}\)   = \(\frac{20}{27}\)
