Andes Mountains are an example of Fold mountains, The Andes Mountains are the longest continental mountain range in the world. They form a continuous highland along the western edge of South America.

Block Mountains- they are formed due to faulting because of tensile and compressive forces. Block mountains are surrounded by faults on either side of rift valleys or grabens.
