Direction: Sales of books (in thousands) from six branches (B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, B6) of a publishing company are given below. Study the graph and the following questions.

If the sales of books from the branch B2 increased by 30% and that from the branch B4 decreased by 10%, the approximate average sale from all the six branches will .

Options:
A) increase by 1.33%
B) decrease by 1.67%
C) remain same
D) decrease by 1.33%
Solution:
Ans: (a)

Required percentage =\(\cfrac{(50.667-50)}{50}\ \ \times100\) = \(\cfrac{(0.667-50)}{50}\times100\) 

\(0.667\times2=\) 1.33 % increase
