India, Kazakhstan Joint Exercise PRABAL DOSTYK-16 begins
Troops of Indian and Kazakhstan Army on 7 September 2016 began the joint exercise 'PRABAL DOSTYK – 16'.
• The exercise being conducted in Karaganda region of Kazakhstan will conclude on 17 September 2016.
• Prabal Dostyk meaning Robust Friendship is a significant step towards fostering military as well as diplomatic ties between both countries.
• The Indian Army is being represented by platoon strength.
• The Kazakhstan Army contingent comprise of platoon from Special Operating Force’s Unit.
• The exercise will be conducted in two stages
• First stage will be to familiarize with each other’s tactics, drills, weapons & equipment
• In Second stage troops of both the armies will graduate to jointly execute a helicopter borne operation in a simulated environment.
• Combat battle drills and physical fitness will be the focal point of the exercise.
भारत-कजाखस्तान संबंधों को मजबूत बनाने हेतु भारत और कजाखस्तान की सेना द्वारा 3 सितंबर 2016 को संयुक्त सैन्य अभ्यास प्रबल दोस्तिक-16 आरंभ किया गया.
• कजाखस्तान की सेना में विशेष संचालन इकाई की पालटून को शामिल किया गया है. यह अभ्यास कजाखस्तान के कारागंडा क्षेत्र में चलाया जा रहा है जो 17 सितंबर 2016 तक आयोजित किया जायेगा.
• चौदह दिनों तक चलने वाले इस अभ्यास का प्रमुख उद्देश्य संयुक्त राष्ट्र के तत्वावधान में ग्रामीण और अर्ध शहरी माहौल में आतंकवाद और उग्रवादी चुनौतियों का सामना करने में अंतर-संचालन क्षमता को बढ़ाना है.
• अभ्यास दो चरणों में आयोजित किया जा रहा है.
• पहले चरण में एक-दूसरे के युद्ध कौशल, ड्रील, हथियार और उपकरण से परिचित होना है, जबकि दूसरे चरण में दोनों सेनाओं की टुकड़ियां कृत्रिम माहौल में हेलिकॉप्टर से युद्ध कार्रवाई करेंगी.
• अभ्यास में ड्रील और शारीरिक स्वास्थ्य पर विशेष ध्यान दिया जा रहा है. प्रबल दोस्तकी अभ्यास दोनों देशों के बीच सैन्य और राजनयिक संबंध को मजबूत बनाने की दिशा में महत्वपूर्ण कदम है.
